Spring has Sprung Home Tour

Welcome to Spring my friends!!!  Isn’t it so refreshing to open the windows, start the grill up and swing on the screened porch?!  I have teamed up with some of my very favorite home decor loving friends to bring you the Spring Has Sprung Hime Tour. We are each sharing how we add a little light and fresh spring to our homes.  I invite you to take a tour of the Shady Grove and then click on the links below to see some of the most beautiful and inspiring blogs! Enjoy and Happy Spring!!!

I love being able to bring out the flowers for the front porch and window boxes!  I usually stick with white and red because they just pop against our white house.

We just had our hardwood floors refinished.  They were painted white and I loved them but with a very large family and 6 dogs in the house, we needed something more durable.  These were sanded,  bleached, stained white and sealed with a matte finish.

In the dining room, I added a few lemons to my bread bowl and some forsythia to my mason jar sconces. The little pops of yellow are so bright and happy, which matches my mood in spring.

We have very few walls in our house so I took advantage of the large wall going down to our lower level to show off some family pictures.

I have some of my Nana’s quilts hanging on the 12 foot ladder in the stairwell.

I recently changed out the table in my breakfast room to a small round one. Now that all the kids have gotten bigger, most meals are just me and the hubs. This space is nice and cozy and the view out to the sheep pasture is so peaceful.

I also added some lemons to the mantle in the keeping room to bring a touch of spring color.

I added some aqua blue to my bedroom for the spring and I love the way it looks. It is a color that I will tire of so it won’t stay all year.

Isn’t this custom painting by Ashley Anthony just amazing!  The 5 sheep represent my 5 kids and I just love the beautiful colors!

  4. Love love your style. So cute and fresh. If you were to put blinds in your bedroom what type would you use? My style is similar to yours and I cannot decide on a farmhouse style blind. I have bought 2 different types of blinds and am not happy with either one.
