Growing up in a small town near Asheville, NC, I was surrounded by the beauty that so encaptured my heart. My southern roots have been the inspiration behind much of my work. I love the rustic edge and casual elegance found by using a palette knife. I work with textures and layers of color that tell a story through the imagination of the viewer. I am a self taught artist and I know God has given me a gift I can share that reflects my heart. Much of my art contains scripture from God’s word. My hope is that He will speak through my art to touch each life as we bring glory to Him! Welcome to my journey!

Visit Little Green Bean Shop on Etsy

I began my business 6 years ago, bored after knee surgery. I started making tote bags from recycled coffee bean bags. Then as Christmas approached I made stockings and was asked by a customer to make her a tree skirt after that its all a blur! I have made hundreds of stockings and tree skirts over the last 6 years. I now have a wide variety of items in my shop! Beside tree skirts and stockings my other most popular item is my fabric scrap map of the USA. I cut each piece from a scarp piece of fabric and quilt it onto burlap. My maps were featured in the November issue of Green Graft magazine this year! I also work full time, am happily married to am amazing man who helps me to make this all possible & we have 3 wonderful boys!

Visit Hand Made Utah Store

Hi I am Alese of 2 Crafty 4 My Skirt.  Just boots and jeans around here. No skirts for this girl.  I caught the DIY bug working by my father’s side, through out my childhood, on the farm where he fixes or builds everything himself.

After a few years of my husband watching me build home decor and furniture for our own home, as well as many gifts for friends and family, he encouraged me to start a business.  I started out just sharing tutorials on my blog.  My business has grown from there into a successful Sign & Home Decor Shop which I operate mostly through my Instagram feed @2crafty4myskirt.  I am so blessed to be able to do something I love, and something that allows me to be home with my son.  I LOVE being able to help others beautify and personalize their homes.  I enjoy designing unique one of kind pieces.  The time we spend in our homes is so precious.  It is the place where we nurture our most important relationships.  I feel truly blessed when others feel that one of my pieces is worthy of their home.

Custom orders are currently available in my shop, which is also stocked with many Ready To Ship items.  Shop and read tutorials at

  1. Dear Wendy,
I just wanted to thank you for letting me take a quick pic of your front porch on Sunday. It made my day. My sign is in the works already. We changed the wording a bit but it will hold a memory! I love your blog!
Have a blessed week sweet gal.
